Thank you to everyone who came out to the first conferences this year. I hope you found the online scheduling efficient as it was our first time using that method. We also appreciate very much the desserts that were sent in along with the food donated by Domino’s and Texas Roadhouse.
Interim report cards went home, so check those over and make a goal with your children for the rest of the second quarter.
The Veterans’ Day Assembly held at the high school was an amazing event and we thank all those who serve and continue to serve to protect the freedoms we enjoy. Our Student Council members did a fantastic job participating in the program.
I am hoping to reschedule Game Night in December and appreciate everyone’s understanding of the cancellation. My husband and I (with our dog) are still living in a hotel but we continue to be grateful that our situation isn’t worse. We are blessed.
We will be holding a Book Fair the week of December 3. Look for information coming home about it. We would love to have you here to help out.
Our fourth annual Holiday Shop is coming to our school the week of December 10th. Parent volunteers, teachers, and I will assist students while shopping to allow them to enjoy the spirit of giving. There will be gifts offered that can be purchased for as little as 25 cents up to $10.00 each. The gift items are “kid-tested and parent approved”. Students last year enjoyed being able to choose gifts for their families and friends. A Gift List Budget envelope will be sent home soon to help with planning. More information will come home then as well.
Our incentive and motivation program here at the Intermediate School is awarding students with Pride Tags. They receive Pride Tags for many reasons and wear them on a lanyard each Friday. For every five tags they receive they earn a letter to spell out Pride. Once they spell out Pride, their name will be entered for a drawing for a gift card. Please stop in sometime and check out our Pride Tags board.
Remember that parents have access to Progress Book to review and monitor academic progress. Look at this link regularly to keep track of your child’s progress. Go to www.blanschools.org and click on “Progress Book” in the upper right corner. You will be asked to put in your user name and password. Contact the school with any questions or concerns.
School fees are $20.00. School supply lists are available if needed still.
